In a week and half the team will be competing at the CHS District – Central Maryland Event. This event will take place Mar 24-26, 2016 in Edgewater, MD. PIT CEILING HEIGHT
The majority of the pit area has limited ceiling height of 8′-9′. Teams are advised that they will not be able to extend pit displays all the way up to the 10′ limit. Please plan accordingly. Also, please be aware that there is limited cell reception in the school building.
There will be a lacrosse workshop in the athletic fields while the event is occuring. Parking will be limited. Reminder that there is additional parking available at Central Middle School , the Center of Applied Technology, or Central Elementary School which are all very close. Teams and visitors should not park on the residential streets across from the school or they are likely to get towed.

In addition to the FIRST Consent form, a FIRST Chesapeake Consent form is required by VirginiaFIRST’s Insurance Company. Thursday – LOAD-IN AND INSPECTION
Teams are reminded that the pits will be open from 6-10 PM on Thursday evening. The priority for all teams should be to complete inspection that evening. Time is very limited on Friday morning for inspection (just 2.5 hours) and the wait list for inspectors can get quite long if teams don’t utilize the Thursday hours efficiently. The goal is to make sure no team misses a match but we need your help to make that happen.
Please take some time to review the bumper rules and use any remaining robot access time this week to resolve any issues your robot may have. Also take some time to make sure you have the latest updates for your control system<https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/4485/m/13503/l/305566-current-software-revisions>.
Reminder to bring safety glasses for all your team members. Safety glasses are required in the pit area, practice field, and on the field. This includes Friday evening since the pits will be open with robot work going on.
The event will be webcast. You can access the webcast from this link: http://livestream.com/LeeHartman/centralMDEvent
GOOD GUESTS OF THE VENUE
FIRST Chesapeake is a guest at South River High School and we want to do everything we can to be good guests. Please make sure that your team cleans up after themselves in the pit, stands, and eating areas. No food is to be brought into the gym. Remind your students that they are not to wander the halls or enter rooms not being used for the FIRST Robotics event.
